WebReposting my comment on an M1 Air … an M2 or anything with Pro or Max will do better as well. The fans do kick in (eventually) when playing, and the bottom gets noticeably hot. Playing on an Air might be hot enough to damage the hardware, or (I assume) performance will get throttled as temperature goes up. I downloaded the DMG from Square-Enix moved to the applications folder, but every time I launch it the game shutsdown with no warning. I briefly see a window that may be the bottle stating it is shutting down FFXIV, but it happens to quickly to be sure.
