WebJun 9, 2009 · 1,293 Posts. #5 · Jun 8, 2009. the only major difference is the intake manifold out of the two. 99-00 (obd2b) have air port injection holes in between the fuel injectors while the 96-98 do not, if you get the 99-00 head with intake manifold you can plug the holes. but the heads you can use either one for the minime. R. WebSep 27, 2004 · Only another 1.5 liter throttle body will fit. We did a swap last week where we took out a blown D16 and dropped a clean D15, and we tried using the D16 throttle body, but it wouldn't fit... it's a bit bigger. You need a D15 throttle body because the intake manifolds are sized a bit differently.

This will be a turbo focused build in the hope of 300+ hp. One of the parts I am missing is a throttle body. Much to my surprise, D16 throttle body's are not easily found in my neck of the woods.
